How to Order

Login to ACORN with your UTORid and under the Transcript & Enrolment Confirmation menu, select Order eTranscript. If you do not have a UTORid please scroll down for steps on ordering without ACORN access.

The University of Toronto Transcript Centre is pleased to offer an online service where you can order an official eTranscript on behalf of a student.

Note: If you require documents in addition to the official transcript, such as contents of the student’s file, the student will need to provide you their division or college registrar and you can submit your request directly to them.

Steps to Placing a Third-Party Order: 

1. In order to release an eTranscript, the student must provide to you a completed UofT Third-Party Authorization Consent form and include a scan of their valid government photo identification (e.g. driver’s license, passport). Orders without the completed consent form will not be processed.  

Please attach the student’s valid government-issued photo identification either in the space provided on the form or as a second page in your upload (maximum file size is 2MB). Using Adobe Reader DC you can click on the image section of the form to attach the image digitally.

2. Visit Parchment and click “I need to order someone else’s credentials”.

3. Complete the order information, including the email address where the eTranscript is to be sent. 

4. Upload the completed UofT Third-Party Authorization Consent form during the ordering process. Please do not use the consent form available for download on the Parchment site. You will also need to click acceptance of the FERPA Privacy statement in order to continue with the ordering process.

5. Pay to complete your order.

6. Once an order is submitted it will be placed on “Hold” pending approval of the Consent form. Once the Consent has been verified the order will be updated to the “Processing” stage. eTranscripts requests are typically processed within one business day, unless there is a hold on the student’s record. Holds will need to be cleared by the student before an order can be fulfilled.

Any transcripts containing academic activities prior to September of 1998 may add 2 or more business days of processing to both paper and eTranscript orders.
