Calendar course descriptions are sometimes required by other institutions for transfer credit assessments. If the university you are applying to requests a course description you may request this information from UofT. Note: course description orders are not related to transcript orders in any way. Course descriptions for Faculty of Arts and Science (St. George campus) courses you completed can be requested from the Transcript Centre. This service is only for students registered with the Faculty of Arts and Science – students from any other faculty or division (even if they have taken Arts and Science courses) must contact their home registrar’s office for course descriptions. You must list all courses and sessions needed on your course description order form. The cost is $5 per academic session (e.g., fall term $5, winter term $5).
To view course descriptions from previous Arts and Science academic Calendars please visit the Arts and Science student page. This website includes course descriptions from 1998 onward. You can print the description directly from the website. Robarts Library also has past calendars with course descriptions for reference.
Requests for course descriptions from all other divisions or colleges must be requested from those divisions.
If you require a course syllabus you must contact your home department as these are not issued by the University of Toronto Transcript Centre.
